Tenders

Xtra Care Equipment supply a vast range of products and services to clients all over South Australia through contractual arrangements with the government. This includes clients who are eligible for Domiciliary Equipment Services (DES) and Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) Services.

Our staff responsible for equipment supplied through these contracts know everything there is to know about both the equipment and the process involved in obtaining it. They are here to help therapists and their clients select the most appropriate equipment for their needs. You may have a simple enquiry that can be aswered over the phone or need to book an appointment to see, trial and measure up for equipment. Please ask for Daniel Kelsh for all DES enquiries and Craig McLaren for all DVA enquiries. If they are unavailble, you can email them at [email protected] or [email protected] respectively.

Daniel is also able to provide one on one or group in-services to help you better understand the order forms and how to select the best options for your clients.

Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA)

Background

In late 2010 new contractual arrangements were sought by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs in the supply of goods and services nationally. Xtra Care Equipment was invited to join the newly formed The Country Care Group (TCCG) to underpin the South Australian section of the national distribution network. TCCG submitted its tender to DVA and was one of 5 successful groups selected.

In May 2011 Xtra Care Equipment commenced servicing the DVA contract and, starting from a base of xero, now provides support to more than 100 Health Providers and hundreds of veterans across the state. We proudly boast a committed team of staff dedicated to the DVA Rehabilitation Appliances Program. A vast stock holding helps ensure fast turnaround times and the friendliest service is assured.

Health providers are kept in touch with the latest product and service developments with a regular newsletter emanating from this office. We are also very happy to visit groups of therapists or hold sessions at our Broadview premises to demostrate various products and discuss best practices.

How to Order

There are two methods of requesting equipment and services for veterans through Xtra Care Equipment:

1.    Fax a Direct Order Form (DOF) to TCCG on 1800 329 382. Tick the “Country Care Group” box and write “Xtra Care Equipment” in the comments section. A blank DOF is available below.

2.    Access TCCG website and sign up for on-line log in. This will enable users to view the catalogue of products and order items directly from the website. A guide to registering for the on-line service is available below.

Guide - On line registration

There is a tangible benefit in registering on-line. You will receive instant email or SMS notification of receipt of orders, estimated delivery timeframes (if not dispatched immediately) and confirmation of each delivery. It also helps speed up communication times where further information or clarification is sought.

For those using an iPad, there is a fantastic Country Care Group app to assist in looking up products, selecting these products and placing an order. This app is available in the App Store simply titled "TCCG". For android users, an app is being developed as we speak and will be available very soon.
