Adult Savant Headrest

For Total Head Control

Very Supportive While Still Being Comfortable and Lightweight

This specialised headrest provides support at three levels on the head to control lateral flexion and rotation.  If needed, the headband can be used for anterior support and is held firmly in place by a quick release clamp. The headrest has a metal core which gives sturdiness but can be shaped by hand to suit the user. The modular design of the cushioning allows for good air circulation to keep the head cool.

Three levels of posterior and lateral support are provided

  • Mid-lateral pads shaped for comfort behind the ears
  • Sub-occipital pads form extra support below the mandible

The Savant is available in black but other colours and patterns will soon be available.

ISO Standards Approval

Australian Standards have been developed to ensure equipment meets recognised safety and reliability criteria. To achieve this status, equipment must pass a series of tests in which it is put under difficult conditions that are designed to be similar to those that the child or adult may face when the equipment is used. For example, wheelchairs are tested for safhas gained Australian Standard acceptance, it provides a sense of satisfaction and reassurance that it is safe to be used and will do the job.
