Translide System

Used to Transfer a Client From A wheelchair to the Seat of a Car

Vehicle Transfer System

The translide system is used to transfer a client who can weight-bear, from a wheelchair to the seat of a vehicle and to position them in the seat as required. It can also be used for normal chair and bed transfers and positioning.

Available with a standard quilted pad, delux version which has a lambswool pad for extra comfort or with lock strap to attach it to the car seat.

Model: TA1500 (Standard System), TA15200 (Delux Version), TA14800 (With Rubber Mat and Locking Strap)

There are no accessories for the Tech-Assist Translide System.

Overview

The translide system consists of a base mat, on which the pad sits and can be slid across in any direction.

  • Smooth slippery underside of pad and top cover of mat ensures ease of manoeuvrability to desired position.
  • Able to manoeuvre in a side to side, front to back and rotationally to ensure exact positioning.
  • Soft foam and quilt construction provides comfort for client.
  • Pad incorporates side handles to aid in stand transfer and positioning.
  • Optional rear strap on both parts to twist and secure to rear of chair.
  • Mat and Pad are washable (medium wash, drip dry).

ISO Standards Approval

Australian Standards have been developed to ensure equipment meets recognised safety and reliability criteria. To achieve this status, equipment must pass a series of tests in which it is put under difficult conditions that are designed to be similar to those that the child or adult may face when the equipment is used. For example, wheelchairs are tested for safhas gained Australian Standard acceptance, it provides a sense of satisfaction and reassurance that it is safe to be used and will do the job.
