standard AS/NZS/3200.2.38
• The modern and light seamless blow moulded head and footboards are designed to be easily removed for immediate access to the patient. They have been specifically designed and tested to meet the most stringent infection control requirements.
• Innovative SMART-CPR is a feature only available on Medicraft Hill-Rom beds, the bilateral CPR handle gently lowers the backrest in emergency situations. If the handle continues to be activated all

• The One button “Shock Position” feature, automatically and simultaneously lowers all the articulated sections until they are horizontal and inclines the sleep surface to the Trendelenburg position at an angle of 0° to 16°.
• Light and easy to move, the innovative aluminium folding side rail provides maximum patient coverage and caregiver safety.
• Studies have shown that 75% of patient falls occur during the night. An LED under bed light on both sides of the bed provides the patient with visibility during the night when moving around the bed.
• Designed to reduce the physical demand placed on caregivers by saving precious nursing time spent performing repetitive tasks such as moving and assisting patients in and out of bed.
• New design advances provide innovative functions by combining multiple bed movements with the touch of a single button including; “Full Chair Position”, “Shock Position” and “Bed Flat Position.”
• The light weight MC 700 is designed and tested to be moved safely and easily in all hospital conditions.
• A sliding backrest keeps the patient correctly positioned for greater comfort, reducing the need for constant re-positioning, and reducing sheer and friction.
• A direct access foot-end control box makes it easy for caregivers to operate the bed if the handset is not accessible and keep the patient safe with the selective lockout switches.
• Intuitive and easy to use bed controls allow patients to independently position themselves, reducing demand on caregivers. Large illuminated symbols make the controls easy to see and use at night.
• Five coordinated movements reduce the need for caregivers to reposition the patient by helping to achieve an ergonomic posture and maintain the patient’s position when the bed is articulated.
• A wide range of accessories help to adapt the bed to the patient’s varying conditions.
Australian Standards have been developed to ensure equipment meets recognised safety and reliability criteria. To achieve this status, equipment must pass a series of tests in which it is put under difficult conditions that are designed to be similar to those that the child or adult may face when the equipment is used. For example, wheelchairs are tested for safhas gained Australian Standard acceptance, it provides a sense of satisfaction and reassurance that it is safe to be used and will do the job.
